Cry for Help

I think Great Auntie Di needs help from Mr of Arabia.
Northern Ireland is in trouble. On Saturday past we had 7cms of rain in a day which is apparently what we normally have in a whole month of wet Sundays. Roads, houses, fields have all been flooded. Some bullocks had to swim for their lives. But the worst thing that happened could possibly have been prevented if you had been in the country and taken that Lagans job!! The new underpass at the end of the M1 just at the Royal totally filled with water. It became what could only be described as a bowl and 20 feet of water right up to the top!! Some poor man had to be rescued from the top of his car before he drowned and in the end they had to cut through the central reservation to let the cars escape.
All that money and planning - much of the money to Quantity Surveyors and no plughole to let the water go away. Where were you? Can you save us in the future? What can we do? Who is to blame? This is one too big for Great Auntie Di.

Well now then, where do I start. Firstly read ny blogsite, you'll not need to worry about the homeland for much longer!!!

Right down to business from the QS - cms are actually not a unit of measuremnet, there are 2 units of measurement used for construction for linear, area & cubic. There are metres & millimetres.

Lagans in no way whatsoever are associated with the Westlink project, even though I didn't take up the position, I feel it's my duty to defend them - the work is being carried out by HMC - Highways Maintenance & Constuction (think that's right). It's a consortium of Grahams, Farrans & Bilferger & Berger.

See that's why QS's are so sought after, they know the facts!!!

While this may seem very unfair to you, I'm just testing your reaction for when you're out training me here in Bahrain. Didn't you know, I decided to appoint both you & Anne with immediate effect!!!

To answer your parting questions - I was here, where you'll be soon. Yes I can, that's why I've employed you to work here. Get your suitcase packed & get some passport photos taken as well. I'm to blame, I should have listened better in English at school & continuing my walking regime out here. Nothing is too big for you, sure I'll be down to my fighting weight in no time!!!
